The People Problem

"And everyday he went out on the streets and talked with anyone who happened along. He got to know some of the Epicurean and Stoic intellectuals pretty well through conversations. Some of them dismissed him with sarcasm: 'What an airhead!' But others, listening to him go on about Jesus and the resurrection, were intrigued: 'That's a new slant on the gods. Tell us more." Acts 17:17-20 The Message Bible

How are we spending our time. Are we taking advantage of every opportunity when we meet new people, or when we are around ones we have known for a while? Having kids is the greatest way to engage in conversation with others. Paul spoke to everyone he could. He used his intellect to connect with them then took control of the conversation. When we are at the park, engage. When we are in line at the grocery store, engage. When we are playing in our yard and a neighbor walks by, engage. Listen, some people are going to think you are an "airhead," they thought Paul was too, but even if one in a million listen and are saved isn't it worth it?
